Ansys Mechanical has a very user friendly interface, allowing you to perform simple, but also more complex analyses. Performing these calculations efficiently starts with having the right knowledge. That is exactly what this training is meant for!

Gain the basic skills for performing structural and thermal analyses in the Ansys Workbench Mechanical interface. The course is especially recommended for new users and those who perform analyses occasionally and want to increase their knowledge!

In the preprocessing pat of the training, we'll focus on the Finite Elements model, the interaction with CAD and using parameters. There's special attention for meshing parts and the connection between them (contacts, joints, springs, ea). At the end of the course you know all about the different types of loads and supports. We finish off this part with tips on automation of your analyses for the highest efficiency.

The postprocessing part of the course teaches you all about processing the results and how to check and maybe even increase the accuracy of your calculations.

Focus areas:

  • Linear Strength Calculation
  • Thermal Analysis
  • Prestressed constructions (multistep analysis)
  • Linear Buckling calculations
  • Detailed analyses (submodeling)
  • Dynamic eigen frequencies
  • Large Deflections
